The Journal of Progressive Islam (<\/strong>\ud835\udc09\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc08)<\/strong> e-ISSN 3141-1010 is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing rigorous, ethical, and forward-looking scholarship on Islam and Muslim societies in the contemporary world. \ud835\udc09\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc08 provides an intellectual platform for scholars to engage critically with Islamic tradition while responding constructively to modern social, political, scientific, and cultural challenges.<\/p>

Grounded in the principles of ijtihad, <\/em>tajdid, <\/em>and Maqasid<\/em> al-Shariah<\/em>, the journal promotes a balanced approach that integrates classical Islamic knowledge with contemporary contexts. \u201cProgressive Islam,\u201d as articulated by \ud835\udc09\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc08, refers to scholarly renewal rooted in Islamic epistemology rather than ideological or partisan interpretations. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary research that bridges Islamic studies with fields such as law, governance, sociology, ethics, public health, environmental studies, and technology.<\/p>

\ud835\udc09\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc08 aims to amplify diverse global Muslim perspectives, particularly from underrepresented regions, while maintaining high academic and ethical standards aligned with international publication best practices as stated by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure originality, methodological soundness, and scholarly contribution.<\/p>

Published annually in May and November, \ud835\udc09\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc08 is an international journal where it is featured in its international language (English, Arabic and Malay), editors and advisory boards of different continents, international authors, international reviewers and globally reach. \ud835\udc09\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc08 aspires to become a leading reference in contemporary Islamic scholarship and a meaningful contributor to academic discourse, policy development, and ethical engagement in a rapidly changing world.<\/p>
